I remember him well, from the first summer he was there. It was 1944, or maybe 1945. Before that he had worked for a circus. He said he was wounded by an ant-eater, and that was the origin of his port wine spot. His name was the only thing recognizable that proved this was CD. Every old building and landmark is gone. I recognized nothing except the lake which may have been changed a little too..

Hi All…just seen the site! I was a counsellor in 1980…bunk 15….was that an old Garett Berman I sam on the video?!!
Kenny Halperin, Lee. Neil Block, Larry, Bryan D Beyer, Howie…..and my co-counsellor Jeff Metlitz (sp?) are all names I recall. Had a great 2 months trying to teach all those lads how to speak english properly…..and failed. Still in touch with Con Morrissey who I travelled with for the month after camp, courtesy of Camp America (he’s a police inspector now)
Maybe look forward to hearing from anyone there in 1980? Great memories….
