In the beginning...

So there I was, stuck between a womb and a hard place.  One of four puppies to be born to Jack and Ethel.  I have to be honest with you - it was one of the toughest journeys anyone would care to make but I was up to the challenge.  As you might suspect, cramming four pups into such tight quarters, all for around 65 days, isn't easy. Yet, that ain't the half of it.  You see - people that are not familiar with the bull terrier would just leave the birth to nature (a la the mother); but to do this is almost certain death for the young Bull Terrier trying to make their way into the world.  As some of you area aware, the delivery of modern day Bull Terriers is done via a C-section.  The main reason for this is the fact that our heads are rather large and they do not fit in the birthing canal.

Do you know what it is like to be pulled - I mean really pulled hard - by your head?  I didn't think so!

Anyway, to make a long story short - on May 7, 2002 I was born via c-section.  Some say it was a sign.  I say it was destiny!

It Was Destiny...

Throughout the ages, many an individual has used destiny as an excuse for everyday occurrences; but to be 100% honest with you... It really was Destiny that brought my Family to me. Not my canine family, rather the family that I will be spending the rest of my long life with.  I remember it as if it were yesterday.  One minute I am in a playpen with my brothers having the time of our lives, and the next minute I am being crammed, once again, into a tight dark place with my brothers.  Then there was this intense swinging motion that rocked us all back and forth from wall to wall.  I though that this would never end but to my surprise it did -  BANG.

Was that loud BANG some kind of monster? Was the world coming to a crashing halt?  Was I to be banished from Earth before I was able to live? Was that blood dripping down my leg?   Waite a minute...  That's way too thin to be blood. And... And that smell...

Oh my G-d...

 Nooooo

They just peed on my leg!
I can't believe it.
My brothers  just peed all over my leg!.  It's not enough we are going to meet our maker but I now have to do that smelling like URINE...

Wooh.  Sorry about that.  I got caught up in the memory and lost it one again.  Okay, where was I...  Loud Bang...  End of the world...  and...  Oh yeah - nothing happened!  We were alright!  Moving fast - but alright.  The next stop DESTINY. The destination - Grandma Julie's (my dad Jack's Mom) house. Here I meet, for the very first time, the loves of my life - Dad and Mom (oh yeah, and Grandpa Don Was there as well).

Here are a few shots of our first encounter.
(Oh and mind my dads facial expression, as he was working off of 2 hours of sleep and had driven over 175 miles [a hundred of which is the Jersey Turnpike and we all know how much that sucks!])

If you recall, I mentioned that I was one of four. As you view this you will see only three Bull Terriers.  So, what happened to the fourth?

I am sad to say that one of my brothers passed away a few days after we landed here on Earth.  He was brought to the Medicine man... who did a few things to try and fix him up... but... He did not make it.

It's Not Everyday, that you meet some new creatures and just feel as if you click.  This is why I refer to this first encounter as destiny.  All of this was meant to happen.

I will never forget that day for as long as I live

NEVER !
