Roadshots, Lou's voice, the bell on girls side, benny's, the Holzer hook, "skate the other way", picnic dinner, quiet please...quiet please, the red bridge, lyle's basketball punch, the buffalo stance, trading od's with the English counselors on alumni weekend, girls Olympics lasting until color war, crazy 8's, jerry's newsstand, the black and white tv in the infirmary, glazer doing milk call, the red truck, Frank's whistle, girls cheers (u don't have to kick it the ball is too bouncy),adelsons padre hat, DJ, the bruise brothers, abc pizza, the big waiter bunk, getting dressed up for socials, boney's, LSQ, 8 girls straddling an oar running from girls softball to the boys flag pole, canoe carry, the woods behind the od shack that somehow became a trapezoid soccer field, Papa Joe, white unity (shameless plug), copperfields dinner on visiting day, night watchmen, glazer doing late night skits in bunk 2, first kisses, grandpa's ladle, walking to town as a camper, becket's ball handling, the waterskiing store, Party Master, grain alcohol, Burr Pond, late night pizza/grinders from your counselor, double period of softball in 100 degree weather, painted rocks, colored benches on main road, West Farms Mall, Scully, Guida's, Larry Gelb, Fancy Shot or Chocolate shot?
Once again, we are moving forward with a reunion in Winsted, CT (at this point, is it still a reunion if you do it every other yr?). Please make plans to morph into a child the weekend after Memorial Day 5/30-6/1 Fri evening - Sun afternoon. Explain to your spouse that you are unavailable that weekend because you will be regressing into a 15 year old for those three days. Find someone else to coach little league that weekend and begin contacting all the people you know who would be interested in a weekend of fun and memories.
Similar to past years, the camp sleeps 120 people. First come, first serve with beds. As always, you can recommend who you would like as bunkmates. We(we being Gayle saks in this case) will contact hotels in the area and get a block of rooms at a group rate. Meals will be similar to past years as well. Breakfast will be served in the dining room Sat and Sun mornings. Lunch bbq will be on BB3 Sat afternoon and we'll figure out dinner as well sat night.

We have picked a place for our 2007 Camp Reunion in NYC.
LOCATION:
106 East 19th St. between Park and Irving Place.
DATE:

COST:
$45.00 (pay at the door no prepay, No Checks)
DETAILS:
The location is Tracy J's Watering Hole 106 East 19th St. between Park and Irving Place. It's going to be $45 per person for topshelf open bar from 7:30p-11pm. Food, DJ and Karaoke included in the $45 fee. Of course, we can stay at the bar until 4am but the drink "deal" is from 7:30p-11p. We have reserved the bar for camp people only until 11pm.
Spread the word and let as many campers and counselors know of the reunion. All people and all ages are encouraged to join in the fun. Bryan will include all info on the CampDelaware.com website as well.
Also, please remember to save the date for 2008 reunion which will BE ON CAMPUS IN WINSTED! As always, it will be the weekend after Memorial Day, 2008.

We are going to have a less elaborate but equally as fun reunion in NYC
on Saturday 6/23. We are looking into creative ideas and if
anyone has any thoughts besides renting a bar and drinking way too much,
please pass on your ideas. For further information please continue to
check CampDelaware.com. Thanks, Bryan for updating the site and taking
care of all this for the Delaware community.
Also, please rsvp to Andy and me and let us know if you will be
participating. We will need to figure out a space that can fit all of
us. Unfortunately, Hot Skates is unavailable at this time...
On a separate note, please save the dates of June 4th-6th 2008 as we will
once again be renting Camp Delaware for another weekend "nestled in the
foothills of the Berkshires". We will sleep on camp (if you so
choose), play basketball and have a canoe-carry followed by some much
deserve relax time at the pool. Make sure you save the date now, as I'm sure
it will be memorable.

Camp Delaware Alumni - Reunion 2006 - AMAZING!

Campers and Counselors of Delaware the Gods of War Had Spoken and it was good!.
For 4 days and 3 nights Delaware Alumni met on the fields of Friendship and love. Nothing, and I mean nothing, could stop the incredible energy that was taking place - not the rain nor the end of camp chill in the air. It was a time of happiness, sorrow, reflection and alcoholism.
All of us that have make the trek up to the old homestead owe a great deal of thanks to Josh Becker and Andy Sonnenberg - For with out these two incredible people none of this would have ever happen and we would be stuck waiting for another one nighter at the Crane Club. Not that the reunions at the Crane club were bad (they were magical) but there is nothing like coming home again and stay for a while.
We would also like to thank each and every alumni that travels from significant distances and countries to get to the reunion. It was great to see that the Riverdale contingent was represented rather well (even if the majority of them are now in Florida). So remember that when the next reunion takes place all of the people have no excuse about where they live to get their ass to the reunion. And for those of you who could not make it - check out the Alumni Pictures below.
The word is not yet in when another reunion will be taking place. Too many Reunions too soon is not good. We need the sorbet to cleanse the Camp Delaware pallet and create the hunger for another great fest. As always - keep checking this site for news and other events by some of our alumni. We are working on making it easy for all Camp Delaware Alumni to contact each other so we are going to need your help and understanding. As such, we are totally updating the site and forums in the very near future. What you come to expect will change a bit but for the better.
It is that time when we must say goodbye and head out to the reality that we call life. It is never too late to reconnect with friends and family. Lets not lose this incredible feeling. Keep up with the forums. Keep up with the casual meeting. Keep Up the Camp Delaware Spirit and all will be well.
